File a Damage Protection Claim

Accidental guest damage happens. Filing is straightforward — here's exactly what to do and when.

Two deadlines, strictly enforced

  • Within 14 days of guest departure: start the claim, with photos of the damage.
  • Within 45 days of starting the claim: provide paid receipts with proof of payment.

Submissions outside these windows can't be considered — the underwriter allows no extensions.

  1. 1

    Document the damage

Photograph what broke as soon as you find it, and note what happened and what it will cost to repair or replace. Photos are required to start a claim.

  2. 2

    Start the claim

Initiate the claim within 14 days of the guest's departure date, with your policy details and the photos.

  3. 3

    Submit paid receipts

Provide receipts for the repair or replacement, with proof of payment, within 45 days of opening the claim. Once receipts are in, the claim goes to the claims administration group for review.

  4. 4

    Review and payout

A claims adjuster verifies the claim with the guest. The expense is then reimbursed 100% up to your plan's coverage limit — there is no deductible.

What you'll need
