How Vacation Rental Damage Protection Works

Three steps stand between an accidental spill or a broken lamp and a reimbursed repair bill — for hosts, property managers, and their guests.

  1. 1

    Pick a plan

Choose $1,500 or $3,000 of coverage. Each plan is a flat price for a single guest stay of up to 30 days — no percentage-of-rent math, no surprise fees.

  2. 2

    Cover the stay

Buy the plan when you set up the reservation. It covers accidental damage to the rental unit or its contents for that stay. Each booking gets its own plan — coverage doesn't carry over.

  3. 3

    Damage handled

If something breaks or spills by accident, file a claim within 14 days of guest departure with photos of the damage. Once a claims adjuster verifies it, the repair or replacement is reimbursed 100% up to your plan's limit — no deductible.

For hosts & property managers

You're the covered party — the one who gets reimbursed when a guest accidentally damages your property. Most hosts pass the cost along to guests through a cleaning fee or a damage waiver charge, so protection costs you nothing out of pocket while replacing the hassle of chasing a security deposit.

For guests

No one wants a broken glass or a carpet stain to ruin a vacation. When the stay is covered, an accident is a repair bill for the plan, not a fight over a security deposit — you're not out of pocket for honest mistakes.

Coverage is for accidents only. Intentional damage, pet damage, and normal wear and tear aren't covered.
