Airbnb doesn't provide for additional fees, and its damage deposit isn't a substitute — any amount collected is returned to the guest at the end of the stay. The workaround is to add the cost to your cleaning fee and update your listing terms to say the cleaning fee includes a damage waiver against accidental damage.
In every case the lodging provider is the covered party — you're the one reimbursed when a guest accidentally damages your property. Most providers pass the cost along to the guest through the rental rate or a separate fee, so the guest isn't out of pocket for an accident and you have an easy way to be reimbursed without chasing them for money.
Each plan covers a single guest stay of up to 30 days. Participating means adding coverage to every guest stay — it's how the program keeps $1,500 and $3,000 of coverage at such a low price — so make the damage waiver a standard line on every reservation.
Members earn $2.00 on every policy bought by a host they refer. Fees are held until the covered stay ends and paid out with your regular referral fee payments.
