  • Modify or copy the materials
  • Use the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display
  • Attempt to reverse engineer any software contained on the website
  • Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials

Damage Protection Coverage

Policy Terms

Damage Protection plans are offered by Insure Stays Insurance Group, powered by the RentalGuardian.com platform. All coverage terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions are detailed in your policy documents.

By purchasing a Damage Protection plan, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about the covered stay and property
  • Review and understand your plan's terms and conditions
  • Comply with all plan requirements and claim deadlines
  • Submit truthful and accurate information when filing claims

Coverage Structure

Coverage is purchased for a single guest stay of up to 30 days and does not carry over between stays or apply as a standing, per-property policy. The lodging provider (host or property manager) is the covered party; the cost of a plan may be passed through to the guest as part of the reservation price or a separate fee.

Plans and Pricing

Damage Protection offers plans with different coverage limits, purchased per guest stay at a flat price. Current plan pricing and coverage limits are shown on our Coverage page. Registered partners receive member pricing. There is no deductible — a valid claim is paid up to the coverage limit selected.

Claims

To file a claim, you must:

  • Initiate your claim within 14 days of the guest's departure date, with photo(s) of the damage
  • Provide paid receipts with proof of payment within 45 days of opening the claim
  • Cooperate with the claims verification process
  • Provide truthful and accurate information

These deadlines are strictly enforced and are not eligible for extension. Claims are guest-verified by a claims adjuster and, once approved, reimbursed at 100% of the covered expense up to your plan's coverage limit.

Partner and Member Accounts

Lodging providers and property managers may register for a partner account. Registered partners benefit from a faster purchase process, since property information can be saved to the account, and from preferred member pricing on every plan. Partner accounts must keep registration information accurate and current, and remain subject to these Terms of Service.

Payment Terms

Payment for Damage Protection plans is due at the time of purchase. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as indicated during checkout. All payments are processed securely through our payment processors.

Refund Policy

Refund eligibility is governed by your plan's terms. Contact us for specific refund information for a given plan.
